Tri-Lakes Nano Bubbler (Project Clean) May Update
We received final approval for our Chapter 109 Permit on April 17 and have scheduled the start of the container nanobubbler for June 2. Local TV stations, radio and newspapers have been invited as well as other lake districts in the state and our local and state representatives.
The container will be tested during the week of 5/19 and will be set for the June 2 start date with monitoring and additional testing.
The pads for the 10 Lake Sherwood NEO units are also being installed with the units starting to be placed the week of 5/19.
It has been a long 2 years since we started work on this project and Tri-Lakes would like to thank all the members of the Tri-Lakes community for your support and enthusiasm for this project.
Additionally, the weed cutters are all set for the new season with a full complement of personnel to operate at full capacity.
Our 9 Key Element Lead, Heather Gayton, has received a $100,000 grant to test the efficacy and effectiveness of Bio Char research study for our water shed. Bio Char has been used to reduce nutrient leaching from water. We have several bags in one of our bays since last fall on Lake Camelot thanks to one of our property owners and we will be sending in samples to check for the amount of chemicals that have been removed from the water.
